Truly horrifying, Ben. The reports are still fairly sketchy here, but the devastation is obvious. Of course, the local news did 7 minutes on "Storm Watch 2004" because it might rain in Malibu this afternoon, and about 2 minutes on the tsunami. The LA Times, however, seems to be turning into a good newspaper. Their coverage has been excellent, and better by far than the electonic media.
Wyomi Fernando is in Sri Lanka, and the Busono's are in Indonesia. No word yet from Wyomi, but the Busono's are in Manila, and it was relatively unscathed, I understand.
Pray for them, too, and their families.
